Concert at the Conservative Club

HSAP have a new concert lined up for Friday 26th September at the Conservative Club. The Concert Singers are hoping to raise funds to help support our group, so the bigger the audience the better! Success again at Wharfedale Awards 2007

HSAP were once again winners at the 2007 Wharfedale Awards, for our production of 'Anything Goes'. Jim Lunt won 'Best MD' and Louise Denison won 'Best Choreography'. Congratulations to both of them, and many thanks as ever for their sterling efforts, hard work and dedication.

'A Chorus Line' opens to glowing reviews!

'A Chorus Line' opened on Tuesday 20th May 2008 - an extravaganza of song and dance depicting the ambitions and fears of a group of young hopefuls auditioning for a part in a Broadway musical.

Judging by the audience's reaction the show was very well received indeed, and we have already received such favourable comments as

"Having watched the Chorus Line tonight I am thoroughly impressed and enjoyed the performance massively. Well done to you all and absolutely first class!!"

and

"I knew it would be a first class production, but I was absolutely amazed by the professionalism of the cast, the quality of the acting, harmony singing and dancing from every member of the company. I know how much work goes into these productions, and all I can say is it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. I enjoyed it so much, that I'm going to get tickets to see it again on Saturday. You really do have a show to be proud of. It is one most companies would not even attempt, but you more than did it justice."

New Website goes Live!

The new Harrogate St Andrews Players (HSAP) website is here! Although very much still a 'work in progress', the new website was launched on Friday 24th August 2007 to promote our society and productions, along with providing information and resources to our members.

Simply the Best!

Last year, for the first time ever, HSAP entered the Wharfedale Festival, a competition between amateur societies along the line of the Oscars. We entered The Wizard of Oz and were delighted to learn that we had received 9 nominations in the various different categories! At the awards ceremony, the following winners were announced:

Congratulations to everyone who won an award! We are hoping to ‘sweep the board’ again this year with our next entry into the competition – Anything Goes!
